Schotia Private Game Reserve

Schotia is the oldest private game reserve in the Eastern Cape and here you can enjoy Africa at its most beautiful. With guides who have knowledge of the area and the wildlife you will have an unforgettable safari here.

In Schotia you go with a ranger in an open 4x4 safari vehicle to the beautiful countryside in search of the Big 5. In addition to their majestic lions, you will find buffalos, zebras, crocodiles, jackals, hippos, giraffes, ostriches and many antelope's species.

Schotia is adjacent to the east side of the Addo Elephant National Park, with the advantage of a private park. At Schotia you have the ability to get close to the animals so that you can meet in peace with the wildlife of Africa. The evening game drive you will get acquainted with the night sounds of the animal world and images when they are caught in a spotlight.

The meal is an adventure in itself as you and your ranger are entertained to a delicious traditional South African dinner at the Boma. The thatched boma, the campfire and Schotia trees give the place a cosy atmosphere. But really it enhances the atmosphere of course with the amazing stories that go round here.

Schotia Game Reserve is malaria-free and has more than 40 species of mammals. It was the first private park where the lions roam free and there is a very high chance that you will see them here. The 25-year-long safari experience creates a relaxed and very interesting safari trip.

Schotia is a short distance from Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown. Addo Elephant National Park and is an experience not to be missed if you are staying in the area. A place for honeymooners but also for families.
