Port Edward - Wild Coast Sun Golf Course

The renowned golf course architect; Robert Trent Jones Jnr has created a beautiful, dramatic golfing experience here by the Indian Ocean. The Wild Coast Sun Country Club is a rugged beauty and is a challenge for professionals and amateurs. You cross hills, ravines, rivers, dams, lakes and waterfalls here. Wide fairways and huge greens and the obligation to use a golf cart do not affect the competitive challenge. Perhaps it is to overcome the prevailing wind which is always your biggest challenge or how about the 13th, a par 3 that is played over a waterfall and is seen as the best short holes in the country. The risk at hole 12 is a par 5 course, which will be appreciated, though it will not be easy to follow the flow of the river toward the Mtamvuna Green.

Every year the Nashua South African masters take place here and the Wild Coast Sun GC is in the top 10 of Golf Digest magazine in South Africa, despite the 5300 meter length of the track with a challenging enough course.
