Plettenberg Bay - Goose Valley Golf Club

It is located in the heart of the garden route, a beautiful golf course designed by The Gary Player Design Company. It is 4 kilometres from the fashionable coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, bordering the Keurbooms Lagoon. This spectacular nature reserve with Fynbos is the natural border of many holes and provides wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and on the other side of the Outeniqua Mountains. You will also find an abundance of animals and bird life here. All this gives an extra dimension to your golf experience. To remain entirely in the style each hole has the name of a particular flower. The course is situated on pure sandy soil which ensures perfect drainage of water from the Goose River which flows through the golf estate here and where the club gets its name from.

Plettenberg Bay - Plettenberg Bay Golf Club

This is a golf course that you will remember. They Plettenberg Bay golf course located on the Garden Route is a magnificent 18-hole course in a beautiful green area.

In 2000, the golf course has been completely refurbished to USGA specifications. The new course types, slopes, bunkers and water hazards make for a challenging and still very beautiful golf course. The Parkland style golf course located within a conservation area is the pride of the players from Plettenberg Bay.

The 470-meter par 5 4th hole is especially long when the South Easter is blowing and it is difficult for the average golfer to play the hole in 2 or even 3 times. By contrast, the 11th hole, with its 110 meters in length, is the shortest in South Africa, but you can catch up a little on your score in warm weather!
