Pennington - Selborne Golf Course

In 1985, sugar farmer Denis Barker decided to build a golf course on his land. And with the help of friends and his son Gary the beautiful 18 hole golf course Selborne was established. In 1987 it became, the first golf estate and created the "wave-estate boom" of South Africa.

The Selborne golf course is one of the best golf courses of KwaZulu-Natal and a 'must' to play if you are staying on the beautiful South Coast. It's a fairly short course where accuracy is very important, especially if you know that there are numerous water features. The beautiful and well maintained course is often referred to as the "Augusta of South Africa ', so you decide for yourself whether the name fits!

The dense tropical foliage is beautiful to the eye but also a cool place for all those special birds that live here and a shaded area for mongoose, duikers and bushbuck often spotted on the golf course.
