Humewood Golf Club

The Humewood golf course is located on the sand dunes of the Eastern Cape near Port Elizabeth. It is a true links course and has some great tournaments on its schedule which include The South-African open which started in 1934 and the last one was in 2007. According to experts, this is the only links course outside the UK, which most resembles The Muirfield links in Scotland.

There are long straight holes, doglegs, narrow greens, treacherous bunkers, a beautiful Par 3 and a picturesque par 5. Something for everyone!

The fairways are open and thus accessible to the strong winds, there are plenty of bunkers, the green is firm and fast, and there are no water hazards. Nevertheless, you will find a rich animal life on the course; monkeys, goats, turtles, meerkats and ratites including the famous "Kiewietjie", the emblem of the club! Additionally you have stunning views from Hole 19, if necessary. You can enjoy a drink on the Algoa Bay!
