City Hazyview

Hazyview is a small farmer's town at the Sabie River in the province of Mpumalanga and known by the banana industry and it is the perfect location for tourists who want to visit the Panorama Route and Kruger National Park.

The Hazyview town owes its name to the mist in the Lowveld, which is the area, especially often covered in summer with the mist. The village lies in scenically beautiful surroundings with ideal climatic conditions for growing tropical fruits and semi-tropical fruits like litchi, mango, coffee and various citrus fruits. The spectacular views in and around Hazyview will ensure that it leaves a lasting memory!

In the vicinity of east Hazyview there are numerous private wildlife parks and (12 kilometers from the Phabeni gate), the largest and most famous Kruger National Park. Hazyview makes for a popular place to stay. 16 km from Hazyview is the Numbi gate, another entrance to the Kruger National Park.

Hazyview itself has some nice shopping centers and there is a small market where fruits and goods are sold to local residents.

In and around Hazyview there are numerous tourist attractions. You can go visit the Shangana Cultural Village from here to give you more information about the tribal culture. An especially beautiful excursion is taking a balloon flight over the stunning valley. There are plenty of mountain biking, hiking and 4x4 trails, and if you might be thirsty you can visit the local beer brewery.

From the doorstep of Hazyview you will find beautiful natural wonders like; Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest and Bourke's Luck Potholes.  A nearby elephant shelter is also worth a visit!
