George - Fancourt Golf Course

South Africa can rightfully be proud of these golf courses, the Links, Outeniqua and Montagu golf course, all three listed in the top 20 best golf courses totalling 54 holes in a beautiful location and you go there to play. It is adjacent to the Bramble Hills golf course.

The Links Golf Course:
These home-grown Links-course is characterized by undulating dune-rich landscape where the wind has free play. It is a course that is unique in South Africa; Gary Player has designed a beautiful, quiet golf course in the middle of a picturesque area here. Each hole has been given extra attention to ensure that there is a balance in terms of length, position of bunkers and water and that makes your golf ball journey. The weather conditions will naturally affect your game. In 2014 this track was chosen as the best in South Africa by Golfers Digest South Africa.

Montagu Golf Course:
A Parkland course which is in the green heart of Fancourt. Currently this course is No. 7 in the top 20 rankings of South Africa (Golf Digest Rankings 2011). The beauty of this course lies in the beautiful mature trees, flower beds and ponds that reflect the landscape so beautiful. With five tee boxes per course you can decide how hard you want to make it for yourself.

Outeniqua Golf Course:
A Parkland course designed by Gary Player and it has a totally different beauty than Montagu, but she is depicted as easier than Montagu, and no. 18 in the top 20 rankings of South Africa (Golf Digest Rankings 2011) because it is more open. She has 11 holes with water features! A round of golf means also chance of seeing wildlife here.

Montagu greens; and be closed from 16 April 2018 till the 22 September 2018. 

From 01 March 2018 the Montagu and Outeniqua courses will be “split” in usage and alternated between the Fancourt Country Club Members and our hotel guests.  On a particular day one course will be allocated exclusively to hotel and the other for Members use.  The courses will then be alternated the following day for Members and guests alike. 

During the period of the Montagu course closure the Outeniqua course will be “alternated” on a morning and afternoon basis respectively.

The below maintenance days will apply as of 01 March 2018.
Outeniqua - closed Thursdays until 11:00
Montagu - closed Tuesdays until 11:00
The Links – closed Monday until 11:00
