City Camps Bay

Camps Bay is a suburb of Cape Town and the "Place to be" if you like beach, entertainment, fine cuisine and a stroll.

While rock stars and models of the world go forth, and sunbathe on the flat white beach, the South Africans love to show off here to play with their muscular bodies and volleyball. A place to see and be seen!

But the beach at Camps Bay is still a great place for the family to enjoy themselves with a shovel and bucket. On the south side there is a tidal pool on the north side there is the coast most suitable for the surfers among you.

Camps Bay is pretty much the St. Tropez of Cape Town. It is located under the Twelve Apostles and Lion's Head, the palm-lined beach of the Atlantic Ocean. At the other end of the beach is the city center of Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront is a 20-minute drive away.

There are lots of wonderful accommodations in this area, but it is also jam-packed with restaurants and bars and what could be nicer at the end of the day than to sit back with a drink and watch the sun set behind the palm trees.

You can also undertake a variety of activities from Camps Bay, there are organized cycling tours. And if you really want to be active there are plenty of hiking and walking possibilities around Lions Head, Table Mountain and Kloof Nek.
